Summer hits its peak in Lakeville this month, and it is hard to beat a small Minnesota town in July. Nearly all of the action centers on Pan-O-Prog — the city’s 60th annual community festival running July 4–12, 2026 — surrounded by the weekly staples that make our downtown and lakes worth visiting all season long.

Lakeville Farmers Market

Local produce, meats, baked goods, cut flowers, and handmade crafts from area growers and artisans, right in the heart of downtown. (Heads up: the market location may shift during Pan-O-Prog week when Holyoke Avenue closes for the festival.)

Live at the Lake Concert Series

Pan-O-Prog Turns 60 — July 4–12, 2026

Nine days. More than 80 community-run events. Panorama of Progress (“Pan-O-Prog” to the locals) fills downtown Lakeville and its parks with fireworks, parades, a classic-car cruise, a carnival, live music, markets, and small-town fun for every age. Most of the events below are part of it — here is the day-by-day rundown.

Saturday, July 4

City of Lakeville · Headliner

4th of July Fireworks & Family Fun

🕐6:00–10:30 PM · fireworks launch at dusk

📍Century Middle School (18610 Ipava Ave), Grand Prairie Park & Highview Elementary

Kick off the holiday with the City’s big fireworks show. Century Middle School hosts family activities from 6–9 PM — food trucks, a petting zoo, a photo bus, face painters and balloon twisters — then the sky lights up at dusk. Grand Prairie Park (food trucks from 11 AM) and Highview Elementary are great viewing spots too.

Pan-O-Prog Cruise Night

📍Lakeville South HS (21135 Jacquard Ave) through Downtown

Hundreds of classic cars (30 years and older) line up at Lakeville South High School and cruise historic Holyoke Avenue. It is also a food drive — Scouts collect donations along the route — and six blocks downtown stay open afterward for a post-cruise vehicle display.

Pan-O-Prog Classic Car Show

🕐11:00 AM–3:30 PM · awards at 3 PM

📍Downtown Lakeville — enter on Holyoke Ave from 206th St

All makes, all models fill historic downtown for the Saturday car show. Cast your vote — participants’ choice awards go to the top 16, including Best of Show, Mayor’s, Queen’s and Police Chief picks. Voting closes at 2:30 PM.

Pan-O-Prog Grand Parade

📍Holyoke Ave & 210th St, north to Heritage Dr (ends at Iberia Ave)

Regarded as one of Minnesota’s very best, the Grand Parade rolls roughly 110 units — marching bands, floats, classic cars and community groups — along a one-mile downtown route for an estimated 20,000 spectators. Stake out your curb early.
